2024 KTM Fuel Tank Issue - Poor Design or Internet Myth?
Переглядів 16 тис.21 день тому
There is a lot of talk online about the poor design of the new KTM/Husky fuel tanks and the placement of the fuel pump. I tend to believe the engineers who design these bikes probably know what they are doing so I'm testing how much fuel you can use before running out on my 2024 Husqvarna TE300 Pro. I made it 95 KM or 59 miles and when it ran out I had less than 0.5 L left in the tank. I'm sure...
This Mod Completely Changed My Bike
Переглядів 7 тис.Місяць тому
I really noticed how much I was fighting the KYB suspension on the Sherco after riding the new WP suspension on the 2024 Husky TE300 Pro. I had the forks re-valved for the second time on the 300SEF and wow what a difference! I was about ready to sell the four stroke but now I love riding it again. We Should Not Have Gone Down This Trail
Переглядів 14 тис.Місяць тому
Some decisions on the mountain can lead to a bad situation. Starting down this snowy trail was not the best idea. Luckily we were able to get out to the bottom making our way though the snow. I 'm glad we did not encounter and blockages on the trail or snow on the second climb otherwise we may have been in for a very long day. Always an interesting adventure on these big mountain rides! * Pleas...

KTM/Husky/Gas Gas TBI Map Switches and Gear Ratios
Переглядів 7 тис.Місяць тому
Testing out the difference in power and traction on the TBI bikes on the different map switch settings, I do feel a difference and feel the map switches are useful on these bikes. I have also switched back to the stock 13/45 gearing and I think it's much better than the lower gearing I had the first few rides on the TE300 Pro. * Please note I will not discuss locations publicly in the comments ...
WP Suspension Is Now Better Than KYB
Переглядів 11 тис.2 місяці тому
Comparing the new WP suspension on the 2024 KTM/Husqvarna bikes to the KYB suspension you get on Sherco and Beta race edition bikes. KYB is widely considered the best suspension you can get off the showroom floor but I feel the new suspension from WP is better. * Please note I will not discuss locations publicly in the comments section. pnwenduro pnwenduro/
2024 Husqvarna TE300 Pro First Ride
Переглядів 24 тис.2 місяці тому
First ride review on the new 2024 Husqvarna TE300 Pro. This is an all new bike for 2024, TBI motor, electronic power valve, new chassis and suspension. I'm really happy with how the bike performs so far, the suspension is fantastic and the TBI motor lugs up the hills really well. I'm not a fan of the new style combination start/stop button so I'll likely switch it back to the older style separa...

2024 KTM 350XCF Factory Edition Ride Review
Переглядів 8 тис.2 місяці тому
Testing out the new 2024 KTM 350XCF Factory Edition. In the past I felt the 350's were a bit too much in tight single track but this new bike has very smooth and easy to control power. Tons of torque on this motor lets the bike tractor up steep climbs while maintaining traction. The new chassis and suspension are great as well. Being the factory edition it comes with an FMF pipe, some upgraded ...

A quick ride review on the 2024 Husqvarna TE 300. Lots of changes for 2024 the big one being the TBI motor and electronic power valve. The new WP suspension, particularly the fork, is really good. I like the Braktec clutch but am not a fan of the brakes. * Please note I will not discuss locations publicly in the comments section. pnwenduro pnwenduro/

The Most Fun You Can Have On A Dirt Bike
Love the ferns everywhere. Miss the lower mainland mtb trails...moved to the Kootenays and had to get a dirt bike.
Alaska
Just picked up my new 2024 300 XC-W. I rode Malcolm Smith and Yamaha plus some other single track today. Ran out at 53 miles. Not good. Definitely an issue here in my mind.
Agree the mileage could be better, the tank/pump design is not as big of a problem people are making it out to be. I have other reports of people getting 70 miles on a tank.
Had an older version of this bike and it was my favorite over the 4 ktms I had before it. Now looking at electric - wish me luck and enjoy.
Man I loved every minute of that! What an amazing place. You seem to be pretty comfortable on the Husky.
Thanks. I'm really gelling with the new KTM/Husky chassis. Makes me want to replace my 4T as well.
*Temperate rain forest. It is beautiful none the less.
I rode there last week. 100 miles over 3 days. The stark was fun but my 200 was easier to ride since it was slippery.
Kudos bro! I can't even imagine how many times I'd have fallen off trying to ride those trails! 👌
Bro!! Take me please!! I'm in oregon
Beautiful trail. Doesn't look like it gets much use.
I’m told it was pretty clear two weeks prior. All the greenery grows so fast this time of year.
You should make the sketchy parts you cut out of the video into shorts. Like blooper shorts.
I’m not a fan of the whole UA-cam shorts concept but that’s a pretty good idea.
Every time i watch your videos, I hate were i live…. Lol 🍻
Wow I miss the coast and the mountains. Alberta has some pretty good trails but I don’t think they hold up against bc or our neighbours to the south. Thanks for all the rad videos, so cool to see the awesome variety and beautiful scenery you get to enjoy on a bike!
Alberta has some unbelievable rides as well, just a much shorter season than we have on the coast.
Amazing! Would love to ride there.
My tpi ran perfect, my new tbi runs like crap!
Bummer. Mine runs amazing. Only complaint is the fuel range could be a little better.
@@PNWEnduro right, I went through a tank of gas on a 30 mile ride the other day. Used to get 55 easy out of my tpi
Do the Sherco’s have smaller feeling frame than the Ktm’s?
Yes.
I’ve got 5 friends with tbi bikes that are fouling plugs, the new mapping on the 24 bikes runs crazy rich in the lows and lean in the highs. They need to figure this out so everyone doesn’t have to send there ecu’s to tsp or slavens for a remap.
What bag is that you have behind your bars? Thanks.
Try it with a trials tire sometime.
What kind of bike are you riding on this trail, bud?
Sherco 300SE.
As a suspension tuner I agree 100% Kyb is good but performs differently on various brands of bikes. As for fit and finish WP uses better higher quality parts, piston holders, etc. the KYB has the kashima finish on cartridge which is nice. Also every year and manufacturer specs how there KYB works, same as the new WP fork is different per bike. So don’t assume it’s going to be the best just because of the name. Having it custom valved to unlock the potential is key
Both brands can be great with the proper tune. It’s seems more often the valving on KYB be it on Beta, Sherco or whatever is set up too stiff while a lot of people are happy with the stock valving on the new WP without having to spend more money.
Bike sounds great! I almost picked up one of those. Went with a GasGas 350 instead because of the deal I got, but that bike is awesome. Imo
1:09 that sapling was most unhelpful. I swear whenever I’m in a n awkward spot there’s some darn sapling there that is about to force me over an edge or make things 5x harder than they have to be. 😂
That’s a 4 stroke sound I can listen to all day
Awesomeness!
I picked up my first 4T bike in a decade recently (KX250x), and I'm really loving it. Very different from the 300 2T bikes I've been riding for awhile, but it's a great change and a ton of fun.
That’s some great trail. Thanks for posting.
What's the handlebar bag you are using and what do you typically keep in there for these rides?
Trailbound, the smaller pack he sells. I keep my phone and a couple Allan keys and a stubby 8mm and 10mm wrench.
Thanks for the info man!! I've been eyeing up the bags from trailbound recently. I think I'll pull the trigger on one.
Nice ride Greg. I’m truly jealous. 😅
Nice driving! 🤩
Looks like no dust, nearly perfect conditions. 😊
What part of the state ?
What state?
I'll go ahead and add this to the list of reasons I hate living in Chicago.
😳
I’ve never gone on a long ride to where I’m using 98% of the fuel in the tank anyway? Why would you let it get down that low to begin with? I don’t know how you fellas treat your car or truck but keep that shit topped off when you can. Same principle.
A lot of rides in the mountains are big loops, you have no choice but to do 60+ miles so topping up fuel is not an option. If you do these kind of rides this is a legitimate concern and possibly a deal-breaker for some riders.
@PNWenduro- I'm coming up that way this weekend from Seattle and would love to check out McMutt or whatever is good around there. Can you make a recommendation? Or even offer a tour?
I’ll be riding out of town this weekend but send me a message on social media and I can give you some recommendations of better places than this one.
I can't believe that people stress over how the plastics line up... It's a freakin dirt bike!!!
fuel light came on at 50 miles for me yesterday.. 2024 fe350s
I notice in one of your more recent comments that you’ve now reverted back to GoPro. I moved over to DJI OA4 after watching many influencer / paid for UA-cam comparisons. After looking at my own OA4 footage I returned the cameR and got a GP11. No one seemed to mention what I’m guessing is a compression issue with the OA3/4. If you look at road texture, grass texture, snow and the clouds, all the detail is gone / smoothed out. Grass often looks solid, roads look smooth where there’s grit, clouds look mushy and hills in the background looked like they’d been painted at times. Unfortunately something that’s often glossed over on the many influencer reviews. Am now happy with my GoPro 11. I’ve even bount the DJI mounting bracket to replace the GoPro’s so best of both worlds. (Plus GPS with the 11)
Comments here seem to be about 60/40 in favor of the GP. I really wanted the DJI to work out as it's easier to use and possibly more reliable (although my first one was faulty). In the end, two things with the DJI were dealbreakers, the lens, wide view is not wide enough and ultra wide has a bad fisheye effect. Also there is no good option for audio where the media mod on the GP works excellent and is reasonably priced. I try show honest and unbiased reviews, a lot of camera reviews out there are just paid advertisements unfortunately.
